- For what purposes do we process your personal data?
2.1. Processing of personal data about volunteers
The execution of EuroSkills 2025 in Herning requires EuroSkills to engage a large number of volunteers to assist throughout the event. It is necessary for EuroSkills to process certain personal data about the volunteers to utilize their skills optimally and coordinate their efforts.
Who do we process personal data about?
Volunteers who sign up to be part of EuroSkills 2025.
What personal data do we process?
We process contact details such as name, email address, and phone number. Additionally, we process information about date of birth, nationality, and educational institution. We also process information about clothing and shoe sizes as well as special dietary preferences, as our volunteers receive clothing and catering during the event.
What is our legal basis for processing?
Our legal basis for processing ordinary personal data is GDPR Article 6.1.f, where our legitimate interest is to utilize our volunteers for the execution of EuroSkills 2025.
Where do the data originate from?
We receive and collect the above-mentioned information directly from you when you sign up as a volunteer.
Who do we share the information with?
As a general rule, we do not share your personal data with others. However, we entrust your personal data to our IT provider, Zorilla Software GmbH, and its subcontractors.
How long do we retain your personal data?
We only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we have collected and process the data. We retain your personal data for a maximum of 6 months after the conclusion of EuroSkills 2025, i.e., a maximum of 6 months after September 13, 2025.
2.2. Handling inquiries and requests
Before, during, and after EuroSkills 2025, we will communicate with our volunteers regarding various questions and comments from them. This communication involves the processing of personal data about the volunteers.

Volunteers who contact EuroSkills with questions and requests.
What personal data do we process?
We typically process your identity and contact information, including name, email address, phone number, and any additional information you provide.
What is our legal basis for processing?
Our legal basis for processing ordinary personal data is GDPR Article 6.1.f, where our legitimate interest is to handle and respond to your inquiry.
Where do the data originate from?
We collect information directly from you when you contact us.
Who do we share the information with?
As a general rule, we do not share your personal data with others. However, in special cases, we may share your personal data if necessary to comply with our obligations under Danish law, including EU law. Additionally, we entrust your personal data to our IT provider, Zorilla Software GmbH, and its subcontractors.
How long do we retain your personal data?
We only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we have collected and process the data. We retain your personal data for a maximum of 6 months after the conclusion of EuroSkills 2025.
- Transfer of personal data to third countries
As a general rule, EuroSkills does not transfer your personal data to countries outside the EU/EEA. However, our data processor, Zorilla Software GmbH, uses certain subcontractors, some of whom are located in third countries. These third countries include:

You have the following rights:
- You have the right to request access to, rectification of, or deletion of your personal data.
- You also have the right to restrict the processing of your personal data.
- If the processing of your personal data is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Your withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before your withdrawal. You can withdraw your consent and exercise your rights as described below.
- You have the right to receive the personal data you have provided in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format (data portability).
- You can always file a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, such as the Danish Data Protection Agency.
Additionally, you have the right to object to our processing of your personal data in the following cases:
- If our processing of your personal data is based on GDPR Article 6.1.f (see above under legal basis), you have the right to object to such processing at any time based on reasons relating to your particular situation.
